LOADED AND SENT WITH LOVE FROM ARKANSAS
On September 18, 2018, Church of Christ shipped a 40’HC container full of medical beds, mattresses, medical supply, and food to be distributed among East Gamoa region, Ghana.
Ghana continues to be one of the most stable countries in sub-Saharan Africa and has developed substantially over the years. It has a population of about 29.6 million (2018). In the past years, it has taken significant strides toward democracy under a multi-party system. Twenty-six months after being elected, President Akuffo-Addo has had some successes, but he also faces challenges fulfilling his election pledges—including setting up jobs, free school education and medical facilities to be reachable to all Ghana’s citizens. Since the new administration opened thousands of schools and field hospitals, they need to be set up, furnished, and supplied to assist this small but striving country.
We at WOC are proud to be a part of this improvement. September 2018, Church of Christ volunteers in cooperation with World of Connections program shipped a 40’ high cube container full of medical beds with mattresses, medical supply, furniture, clothing and food to be distributed by MEDIGRID AID among remote areas of Ghana.
