Georgia, a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia, is a former Soviet republic that’s home to Caucasus Mountain villages and Black Sea beaches. In the internal displacement crisis arising from the secessionist armed conflict in Abkhazia, Georgia, ethnic Georgians are the principal victims. They have been displaced from Abkhazia by a policy of ethnic cleansing which, though perhaps not fully developed at the time of the actual displacement, has rendered the area ethnically homogeneous and certainly succeeded in ensuring that it remains independent.

World of Connection program's home office is located in Bergen County, New Jersey USA. Never have I thought that we at the tristate area would be on the recipient end of the humanitarian aid program. We are in the center of the corona epidemic, with the number of deaths growing every day.
